About Us

The Founder Chad Beavens

Chad started his career in telephony after graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He began working at Denver & Ephrata Telephone and Telegraph in 1996. During his time there, he installed hundreds of Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems. These included Nortel Networks Meridian Systems and Norstar, Mitel, & Inter-tel. These systems ranged from small 10-15 users to several thousands of users and phones. He earned many certifications for all of these systems and began working on data with Micom MUX's. He learned about everything there is to know about telephony much of which is now obsolete. This includes DSL, T1, ISDN, BRI, PRI, MPLS, Frame Relay, E&M Trunks, POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), and more.

D&E sold the PBX department to Ecomm Networks in around 2006. There Chad continued to work on PBX systems but also transitioned into a data engineer. At Ecomm Networks, he installed Sonicwall and Watchguard Firewalls, Switches, Routers, and Access Points. Ecomm Networks took on a new venture to start up a Hosted SIP Business which was Ecomm Hosted SIP. Chad was the lead engineer for every customer and designed the systems and selected the best equipment to best deliver the services for hosted phones and SIP trunks.

In 2012, Ecomm & Premier merged to form PremierComm. While working at PremierComm, Chad transitioned completely into a Cisco Certified Engineer specializing in security. He obtained 8 Cisco Certifications during his time at PremierComm.

In 2020, Razor Networks was formed. Chad created partnerships with strategic vendors and distributors that would allow him to offer the best services and products at prices that were below the competition. He chose the tagline "Networking Done Right", because during the course of his career, he ended up at customers who were frustrated that the last guy couldn't get it working or they continuously had issues that were avoidable. He also saw needless things from the companies that he worked for that didn't make sense for them or the customers. It was time for a company to do it right!
